Active Academics

Active Academics is a resource for teachers that gives you practical and easy ways to implement movement and physical activity into your classroom. The CDC recommends that all students have 60 minutes of physical activity a day. By implementing “active” lessons into your schedule, you can increase PA in the school day for your students.

With this website, you can create an account for yourself  (it’s free) or you can check it out without signing in. You can search the website by grade level, content area, or both, and lesson plans will appear for you to use and implement. In addition to the plethora of materials, it also provides information regarding physical activity and obesity, the benefits of physical activity, and academics, and types of physical activity.
