Safe Spaces – Teacher Training

SAFE SPACES is a training for teachers who want to expand their knowledge and skills in being an approachable, non-judgmental, and reliable resource for sexual health information. Earn one K-12 professional development credit.

Dickinson Class:
When: June 3–4, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day

NDSU Credit Fee: $50 (for one K-12 professional development credit). Scholarships for credit available for each location. Contact us for details.

Making Proud Choices – Free Curriculum Training 
Making proud choices(MPC) is one of the ND Department of Public Instruction (DPI) suggested curriculums for sexuality education.

MPC is an innovative 8-module sex education curriculum designed to equip young people with the knowledge, confidence, and skills necessary to reduce their risk of unwanted outcomes associated with sexual activity. Learn how to effectively facilitate the curriculum, filled with engaging learning activities such as group discussions, games, role-plays, and video-clips. The lessons cover a variety of topics, including goal setting, communication skills, healthy relationships, birth control, and abstinence. (Inquire about reimbursement).

Fargo:
May 29–30, 2019
9a.m.–5p.m. each day

Upon completion of this training, you will be prepared to deliver Making Proud Choices! to the young people you serve.
