North Dakota Department of Public Instruction Seeks Input on First Draft of Physical Education Content Standards

The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI) is seeking feedback on the first draft of the revised North Dakota Physical Education Content Standards. Content standards are concise, written descriptions outlining the knowledge and skills students are expected to know and do at a specific stage of their education. They illustrate what students have learned upon completing a grade level or grade span. The academic standards do not describe specific teaching practices, curriculum, or assessment methods.

The North Dakota Physical Education Content Standards were last revised in 2015. Over the past three months, a committee of North Dakota educators have diligently been working on the revision of the standards and are seeking feedback.

The NDDPI asks that all interested stakeholders provide input on the standards draft through the survey linked below.

Your input is appreciated.
